IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Covid-19

We will be changing our 5th April auction from a public auction to a POSTAL ONLY auction. We have given this much deliberation and feel that it will be best for both our customers and employee’s, and also gives everyone the same chance when bidding. The auction will be the same as usual with regards to Buyers Premium but to protect our vendors interests, and bearing in mind that our estimates are conservative, all lots will be reserved at the estimate prices as per our catalogue, so please do not bid below the estimate.

For the few days after the auction we will be extremely busy packing lots ready for posting, because of this and limited staff we will not be answering the phone on these days. On Monday 6th April we will be posting the realisations on the ‘Auction Realisations’ page of our website, so please check on there if you have bid, or if you have another query you can email us mailto:tonylester@btconnect.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience.

Bids can be made via email, phone, postal or fax. Here are the deadlines and contact details for each:

Email Bids: tonylester@btconnect.com         Sunday 5th April at 12:30pm (day of the auction)

Fax Bids: 01926 634819                                  Sunday 5th April at 12:30pm (day of the auction)

Phone Bids: 01926 634809                            Friday 3rd April at 5:00pm

Postal Bids: Address on website                    Friday 3rd April at 5:00pm

Please remember we are here to help in any way we can, so please let us know if you would like us to send you any scans or anything else we can do to help, or if you have any queries please give us a call or email us.

We are taking on extra staff to help with postage and packaging, so please bear with us, as it may take longer than usual for you to receive your lot(s), but we will get them out as soon as we can. We will be handling all items with protective gloves.

We would like to take this time to wish you and your families health and happiness at this difficult time and thank you for your continued support.

On a lighter note with many people stuck at home it’s the perfect time to get out our collections and share our love of philately with family. We may find a new breed of philatelists!

Warm regards,

Tony, Karen, Amy and Colin
